Mayela and Mike’s wedding on March 8th at the Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa was everything a destination wedding should be—intimate, meaningful, and set against one of the most beautiful backdrops in the Caribbean.
Located on the world-famous West Bay Beach, known for its crystal-clear water and vibrant reef, this resort offers some of the most breathtaking views on the island . But what truly made this day unforgettable was the rooftop pavilion ceremony space. Sitting high above the turquoise water, the views were absolutely insane—one of those spots that truly makes you stop and take it all in.
With just 12 guests, Mayela and Mike chose to keep their wedding small and personal. Every moment felt intentional, relaxed, and filled with love. Their ceremony was short and sweet, followed by a simple, beautiful reception that allowed them to soak in every second with their closest people.
Mike, a proud military veteran, and Mayela, a doctor from Venezuela, brought together not just their love story, but their lives in Texas and their families from across the world. One of the most emotional parts of the day was watching Mayela’s mom, who flew in from Venezuela, walk her down the aisle. It was such a powerful moment—one of those memories you know will stay with everyone forever.
This wedding was the perfect reminder that it’s not about how big the day is—it’s about who you share it with. And in a place like Roatán, where the ocean meets the sky and everything feels a little more magical, moments like these just hit differently.
Short, sweet, and full of heart—Mayela and Mike’s wedding was truly something special. 💍✨
