SESSION PREP
Having your photo taken can feel awkward and intimidating, but my goal is to help you look and feel your best. I understand that preparing for a session can be stressful, so I’ve created this guide to make the process easier and help you feel confident. I can’t wait to meet you and capture beautiful, fun memories together!
TIMING
Timing is everything! Your session is scheduled for the best lighting conditions. Arriving late means less time for photos, so please be on time to ensure I can capture the best images.
POCKETS
Please empty your pockets… don’t worry, we aren’t robbing you, LOL! But please bring a small bag to place all your belongings in. No wallets, phones, keys, keychains, hotel wristbands, or anything else in your pockets. We will do a quick check right before the shoot to make sure everything is cleared out.
KIDS
Photoshoots can be new and a bit tricky for kids, so we expect them to want to show off or get a little playful, and that’s completely fine! We will take the time to warm up to them and have plenty of fun ideas to capture them in a more interactive way rather than just posing. Our goal is for your kids to be themselves and let their personalities shine. Don’t forget to bring some snacks too!
SUNBURNS
We know you’re probably here on vacation and want to leave with a nice tan (or maybe even a sunburn), but just a heads up—sunburns and tan lines can be tough to edit and tone down in photos. We’re close to the equator, so the sun here is pretty intense. To avoid painful sunburns and weird tan lines for your photoshoot (and in general), SPF 70 sunscreen is your best friend. You can thank me later—LOL!
CLOTHING
A good rule of thumb is that matching is OUT and coordinating is IN. Start by choosing the mother’s outfit first, and then coordinate the rest of the family’s outfits around hers. Avoid stripes, cargo shorts with large pockets, and clothing with too many patterns. For the best inspiration, check out the style guide we provided, along with our Instagram and website to see what others have worn to their shoots!
As bold and vibrant photographers, we recommend choosing one standout color—such as yellow, red, or burnt orange—and coordinating your family’s outfits around it. Try to avoid wearing white, as it can wash out in photos.
For women and girls: Long dresses are always a beautiful choice, especially with the breeze. Maxi dresses, wrap dresses, and rompers are both stylish and flattering. Some great places to find dresses include Amazon, Target, Reclamation, Joyfolie, Free People, and Shein.
For men and boys: Button-down shirts or henleys paired with Bermuda shorts or nice pants work really well. You can shop for men’s clothing at Walmart, Gap, Target, Express, J.Crew, and Shein.

What happens AFTER the shoot?
By now, we hope you’ve had the best possible photoshoot experience with us! We know you may still have questions, so we created this guide to help answer them.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Over the next couple of weeks, we will begin fully editing your images and share a sneek peek on our social media for you to tag, share, and enjoy! When you see that sneek peek, it means we are actively working on your gallery, and within a few days, it will be ready!
IMAGES
Our turnaround time for galleries is typically 21–30 days for sessions and 4–6 weeks for elopements and weddings. Once your gallery is ready, we’ll send you a link to access all the images from your session. Every photo will be fully edited and color-corrected. You’ll notice there are more images in your gallery than what’s included in your package—this gives you the flexibility to choose your favorites. After selecting your preferred images and adding them to your shopping cart, your downloads will be delivered straight to your email. All images come in high resolution, watermark-free, and ready to print or enlarge without losing quality.
PRINTING
Attached to your completed album is access to our trusted print store that we’ve partnered with for years—and our clients absolutely love it. The shop offers high-quality printing and ships internationally, making it simple to bring your images to life. You can easily create custom photo albums, holiday or event cards, or order prints in a variety of sizes and finishes including canvas, metal, and photo paper.
